The Princeton High School band program has announced Caroline Myers and Abigale Nielson as drum majors for the 2023-2024 school year. The duo was selected through a thorough interview, instrumental performance and drum major audition process.
Caroline, who is the daughter of Krista and Adam Myers, is a trombone player and will be a junior next year.
"I feel very honored and excited to be chosen as one of the drum majors, and I am ready to see what next year brings," Caroline said.
Abigale, who is also going to be a junior, plays the flute and is the daughter of Shawnetter and Nicolas Delano.
"Being chosen as a drum major is an unbelievable honor, and I am so ecstatic to have been given the opportunity to lead the band next year," Abigale said.
The two will lead the Princeton High School marching band next fall in their show titled, "The Wishing Well" featuring the music of Dave Grusin and Paul Lovatt-Cooper.
The PHS program is under the direction of new band director Jason R. Smith, as well as Matt Kennan, Jeremy Diaz, Alan Gray and Ben Cordell.
