Class of 2022 graduation information

Senior year for the Class of 2022 is fast coming to a close. Below are the remaining senior events and deadlines in chronological order.

Senior breakfast slideshow photo deadline

If parents have baby photos of seniors or photos from elementary, junior high or high school they would like to include in the slideshow at breakfast, send a digital copy to Only 2-3 pictures will be used, so only send that amount. The subject of the email should be Senior Slideshow and include the name of the senior. Deadline for submitting photos is Wednesday, May 18.

Senior athletic awards banquet

The senior athletic awards banquet will be 6 p.m. Thursday, May 19, in the PHS cafeteria for dinner before moving to the auditorium for awards.

Senior trip and senior walk

The 2022 senior walk and trip will be Tuesday, May 24. Students will meet in the PHS auditorium that morning at 7:30 to take attendance and be bussed to the different elementary schools at 9 a.m. for their senior walk. Students must wear their caps and gowns for this walk.
Upon arriving back at PHS, students will take school transportation to Lake Lavon Camp for their senior trip. The trip will cost $10 if paid before May 20 and $15 if paid after. Seniors pay Candy Copeland in the student office. All seniors will need to sign a school permission form and waiver. Click here for a copy of the waiver.

The Princeton Ministerial Alliance is sponsoring Baccalaureate at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at the Cowboy Church of Collin County, 2800 FM 3364. This service, organized by local pastors and students, honors graduating seniors and their parents. There will be speakers and worship music. In addition, the venue will offer professional photos for graduates and their families.

Senior breakfast

Senior breakfast will be 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 25. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Table seating and food is reserved for seniors only. After breakfast, a group photo will be taken in the gym of seniors who have attended PISD schools since kindergarten.

Graduation practice

The final graduation practice for the Class of ‘22 will be immediately after senior breakfast on May 25.

Commencement will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Credit Union of Texas Event Center (Allen Event Center), 200 Stacy Road in Allen. Graduates will arrive at 6 p.m. Parents, family and friends of graduates will need to be in their seats by 6:45 or they will miss the graduates walking out. They will be allowed to sit after the graduates have been seated. Please plan for traffic on Stacy Road.
General admission will be first-come, first-served at the gate. Tickets will not be issued.

Senior attire for Graduation and Baccalaureate

All students should wear formal attire. This would include slacks, collared shirts or dresses along with dress shoes or boots. This would not include sweatpants, t-shirts, jeans, tennis shoes or flip flops.
The cap should be worn with the square top parallel to the floor and the tassel on the right. Students will need to follow the appropriate guidelines for decorating the top of their graduation cap. Thanking a parent, teacher or recognizing the university you will attend are appropriate things to put on caps. Please also put the graduate’s name on the inside of the cap.
Guidelines for decorating your cap:
All decorations must be pre-approved by an administrator.
Decorations cannot hang over the edge of the cap
1)     No offensive language, sayings, nicknames, pictures or lyrics on cap
2)     No 3D objects can be placed on the hat, such as flowers, bells or signs
3)     All decorations must lay flat
4)     Caps cannot make noise
5)     All decorations must be put on a piece of cardboard and attached to the hat with Velcro
6)     No decorations attached directly to the hat in case a mistake is made
7)     Princeton High School administration reserves the right to remove any decorations that are not deemed appropriate
8)     Administration needs to see a picture of cap decorations for final approval
Students will not be allowed to wear anything over the shoulders during the ceremony unless it has been provided by an organization at PHS. Any custom shoulder sashes or designs hanging over the gown not provided by PHS will be taken up during the ceremony and given back to the student immediately after.
Participation in graduation is an extracurricular activity and a privilege. Students do not have a right to participate in the graduation ceremony. A student is subject to removal from the graduation ceremony for inappropriate behavior before or during the ceremony. A student may also be removed from the ceremony for inappropriate dress.

Photos at graduation

Double T Photography will be at Allen Event Center to take photos of graduates after they receive their diploma. Once the image is taken, a link for ordering the graduation photo will be sent through text or email.

Diploma and transcript pickup

Final transcripts and diplomas will be ready for pickup at the PHS office starting June 16. Request transcripts for colleges through Parchment or contact Florence Cuffle at
