According to Jason Brown, the district's technology integration specialist, students are embracing new technology, and it's showing in the classroom.
He recently hosted a pilot program at Godwin Elementary to engage the students.
Deborah Baker's kindergarten class was the winner of the techno bingo game that took place during the fourth six weeks.
"The purpose of the techno bingo game was to expose teachers to new instructional apps and software that would enhance their learning environment and make sure the technology they were currently using had a learning purpose," Brown said.
When a teacher used one of the apps or software on their bingo card, they would fill out a Google form stating how the technology enhanced their classroom and what TEK was covered.
Mrs. Baker's class was treated to a donut party for their technology efforts.
