Complaints and Grievances

Informal Level 1 Grievance resolution procedure

Princeton ISD encourages parents, students, staff and community members to raise concerns with their school system as soon as an issue arises. If informal efforts, such as speaking with a teacher or administrator, do not resolve the issue, Princeton ISD offers a formal grievance process to address concerns.

Step 1: Contact appropriate school staff
  • The most direct route to resolving a concern is for parents/guardians to first communicate directly with the party (e.g., teacher, coach).
  • Most issues can be resolved through a conversation between the parties involved.
Step 2: Contact the Campus administrator
  • Campus administrators are responsible for the school's operations.
  • Clarification of school policies and procedures can be provided.
  • If necessary, conferences with involved parties can be arranged, and a suitable solution can be reached.

Formal Level 1 Grievance process

If you have tried to resolve your concerns informally and are not satisfied with the result, you may begin the formal process by completing the Level 1 Grievance form below and submit it through the online portal.
