About the program

The Angel Tree program was created by the transportation department as the "Fill the Bus" initiative. It has since been adopted by the Princeton Lions Club as their local service project, which has evolved into a massive communitywide effort to provide Christmas to those in need.

The program begins with the districtwide food drive to provide a Christmas meal for each family supported by the Angel Tree program. These families also receive gifts for children who attend Princeton ISD or younger for Christmas.

Angels consist of Princeton ISD students and their under school-aged siblings who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Each family supplies a wish list for each of their Angels on the tree.

If you have any questions or feel you qualify for Angel Tree, please contact your campus counselor

Adopting an Angel

Community members may adopt individual Angels based on age and/or gender or entire families off the tree. Community members are asked to spend $75 per Angel on new, unwrapped gifts. If you are unable to physically shop for an Angel but would still like to support the Angel Tree program, you may donate $75 per Angel to the program and Princeton ISD elves will do the shopping for you.

If you are unable to adopt a full Angel from the tree, you may still make a monetary donation. Monetary donations can be made at any campus, administration office, Peoples Bank or Independent Financial (checks payable to Princeton Lions Club).
