Hello parents, if your child is interested in trying out to be a member of the middle or high school cheer teams as a cheerleader or mascot, then you must attend a mandatory parents' meeting. This combined meeting will be held at Lovelady High School cafeteria on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, starting at 6:30pm. There will not be another opportunity to attend this meeting, so please make sure that you are present.
During this meeting we will discuss the requirements for tryouts, the responsibilities assigned to cheer, and the documents needed for them to participate in the process.

High School Cheer
Welcome to the high school cheer website. Our cheer program has two squads: Varsity and Junior Varsity. We host cheer tryouts the week prior to our school's spring break each year. This time frame falls between the last few days of February and the first week of March each year. If you are interested in being a member of our cheer team, then please be sure to send an email to the address below to get additional information. We have a mandatory parents' meeting each year and this is required as a part of the tryout process.
We are a sideline and competition cheer team. It is not mandatory for each member to be a part of the competition team. At our campus, your squad is determined by skills and not grade level. We have two campuses in our district, Lovelady High school(Freshman) and Princeton High school(soph-seniors) and our teams cheer for both programs. Cheer is under athletics in our district but is not considered a sport. We do have a mandatory cheer period that all members are required to enroll. Tumbling is not required, but STRONGLY recommended for you to be a part of the Varsity cheer team.
We strive to always be a role model in our schools and community. We work hard to be the number one fan for all of our teams, while supporting other non-sport programs as well. Our program works hard outside of our schools to support other community organizations and to give back as well.
We are so glad that you have taken interest in our program and we look forward to hearing from you! Please feel free to join our social media pages to stay on top of information about our program.
Thank you,
