• Welcome to 2nd Grade!

My name is Mrs. Joell Morris. I have a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Reading Specialization from Texas Woman's University.  I also have a master's degree in Library Science.

    I currently teach second grade.

I have a wonderful husband, Randall, who graduated from Princeton several years ago. We have two great children, Paul and Tori.  We have 4 cats, 5 dogs, and 6 show lambs.

This year will be VERY different from previous years.  Parents are not allowed in the building.  Second grade students must wear masks in the hallways, restrooms, computer lab, and library.  Breakfast will cost $0.30 (reduced price) and $1.50.  Lunch will cost $0.40 (reduced price) and $1.85.  Student that come to the Early Morning Program will enter the cafeteria 7:00 am -7:30 am.  Students should be dropped off at the front of the building beginning at 8:00 am.  School begins at 8:30.  We will dismiss at 3:50, beginning with East and West Walkers.  Second graders are released at the front of the school, unless they have a younger brother or sister. Students will wear their masks during dismissal time.

If your child is in my classroom this year, PLEASE email me to let me know how your child will go home on the first day of school and the remainder of the school year.  If you are a virtual student, Ms. LaFond can be contacted at glafond@princetonisd.net.
