• My name is Marilyn Oliphant.  I am passionate about the field of education. Princeton ISD is the third school district I have been employed at.   I started out in Plano ISD in 1999  as a Special Education Resource Teacher and worked into a role of a  Special Education Lead teacher.  I moved to Mckinney ISD in 2016 and worked with students as  a Special Education teacher in a Resource setting, and FAC/STC classroom .  I also worked for two summers with High School students as an Assistant Principal for a summer school program.

My education background includes a Masters of Science in Counseling and Guidance from Texas A&M Commerce and  Bachelors in Psychology from Texas Woman's University.  My professional certifications include: School Counselor,  Educational Administration, Special Education, and English Second Language.

I am excited about my role as a School Counselor at Lowe Elementary.  I am always enthusiastic to serve in whatever capacity to serve students and staff.   I love to inspire others and am excited  about watching the lives of students transform as they grow socially and emotionally. I believe that developing positive relationships and school culture are crucial among staff and students and are a prerequisite before we can have  successful school experiences.  My motto as an educator is - -  “Kids don’t care what we know, unless they know we CARE!”
