Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Lillian Gifford

I am Lillian Gifford and although I have been teaching since 2010, this is my first year proudly teaching Special Education Life Skills 3 at Lacy Elementary, educating 1st through 5th grade. Nothing gives me more joy than making a positive difference in the life of a child.

Before joining Princeton ISD, I was at Plano ISD for eight years, teaching 11th and 12th grade Special Education Reading, and before that, I taught Language Arts for two years at Dallas ISD, and one year at Winston School of Dallas, teaching Special Education Reading, Social Studies, and Social Skills.

I graduated from Texas A & M Commerce in 2010. I am Texas Certified in Special Education EC-12, English Language Arts and Reading 4-12, and ESL Supplemental.

My teaching philosophy is that all students at all learning levels, with all types of learning styles, can learn and be successful in life, no matter where they're at on their life journey. I strive to build positive and enriching relationships with my students, helping them gain confidence in themselves and their learning path of success.

I have two awesome adult sons and am a proud Nana of the most amazing grandson! I have two fur babies, a dog and a cat that have trained me well to love and take care of them.

I recently moved to Princeton and I'm proud to be part of this awesome community again. I lived at Lake Lavon for 15 years before I moved to teach in Plano in 2012. I am excited to be back "home" where I belong!

My favorite hobbies are swimming, going to any beach, and reading.
