Hello! My name is Brandon Whitaker, and I will be teaching Chemistry and IPC this year. This will be my first year teaching, and I am very excited to be jumping into the classroom with y'all! I graduated from UT Dallas in 2019 with a degree in Biochemistry, after which I spent the next few years tutoring students of all ages on topics including science, math, English, and SAT/ACT prep. This gave me a front-row seat to the needs of individual students going through the modern educational system, which prompted in me a strong desire to seek a career in public education.

This is combined with a passion for chemistry, which I believe to be the best and coolest science. My hope for this year is to create plenty of opportunities to explore the workings of the natural world, to practice inquiry and problem solving, and to appreciate how fascinating and beautiful matter can be. My other interests include theology, philosophy, and poetry, and I am always ready to chat about them.
