Ms. Carrie Bell
Hello! I'm Carrie Bell! I grew up in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano West Senior High, then graduated from Texas A&M University in 2012 (Whoop!) with a degree in Special Education. After graduating college, I came back to Plano and taught at one of my former high schools for the next 6 years. While teaching at Shepton High School, I served as a Special Education teacher and ran the Behavior Support Classroom and wore many other hats within Special Education over the years. For five of those six years I was also one of the two cheer coaches. I led the team to place in the top 5 at NCA High School Nationals for 4 of those years, and won the coveted jacket and the title of National Champs in 2016! After leaving Plano, I went to Frisco ISD and opened Memorial High School as an English teacher and cheer coach. While at Memorial, I taught English II On-Level, AP Language & Composition, and English IV On-Level, and was one of the Cheer Coaches as well creating the program from the very beginning. We placed in the finals two years in a row at the UIL Spirit State Competition!
I am excited for my new adventure at Princeton High School! This year I teach English IV, English College Prep, and am the Student Council Sponsor. I'm proud to be a Panther!
When I’m not at school, I can be found spending time with my friends and family and puppy (George), learning new skills or styles to add to my calligraphy and painting hobby, or planning my next big trip across the country or world! My goal as an educator is to build relationships with students to help them "grow to become better humans" while also encouraging them to also become better at whatever skill they want to build (academically, physically, or emotionally).
