Ms. Nicole Ethier
After many years in the private sector, working as a postal carrier, a welder, and a chef, I returned to college and completed my Bachelor's degree in English at the University of Louisville in 2014. I then earned a Master's degree in English with a focus on Trauma Theory from Texas A&M University in 2017. I also earned a Graduate Certification in Digital Humanities. While there, I was a graduate assistant and student teacher of Survey of American Literature, Young Adult Literature, and Technical Writing for Engineers. In 2018, I took my first teaching position in Victoria, Texas at Liberty Academy, an alternative campus. I taught English III, English I, ARC English I, Creative Writing, and Credit Recovery. A few years later, I transferred to Victoria West High School to teach English II and Pre-AP English II. This year, I will be teaching English II and STAAR Writing Lab.
I have two grown children. My son, Travis, lives with his wife in Wakefield, Great Britain and works in technical support. My daughter, Reese, is a recent college graduate of the University of Houston and is a software engineer at L3Harris. I have three cats--Snickers, Opal, and Natiri. We currently live in Greenville.
In my spare time, I enjoy building computers, PC gaming, reading, and watching horror movies.
