Hello! My name is Genny Lofton and I am very excited about being a Kindergarten Teacher at Mayfield Elementary.  My goal as a teacher is for children to love coming to school and love learning.  It is my belief that relationships are the key to success…in all areas of our life.   

I have been teaching since 1992.  I began my teaching career in 4th grade.  I quickly found my way to kindergarten and remained there!  I have both a Finance degree and an Early Childhood/Elementary Education Alternative Certification from Louisiana State University. I grew up and lived most of my life in Louisiana.  I have been living in Texas since 2005..  Mr. Lofton and I have five kiddos between us and five beautiful grandchildren.  I spend my spare time with my family and friends.
