I am a going to be your Algebra II teacher! I started my education career teaching at a Catholic school in San Antonio, Texas, in 2019. I taught Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus and Calculus at the private high school. In addition, I coached volleyball, girls' basketball and track and field. I then transitioned into 7th-grade math and coaching volleyball and track and field at a charter school in 2020. I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2017, where I played D-1 volleyball as a starter all four years on a full-ride scholarship. I majored in fashion merchandising and minored in sport and entertainment management with a leadership distinction in community service.
I decided to move my daughter and I to the Dallas area with the goal of expanding my career into the public education system. I am very excited to start a new journey here at Princeton High School! I truly believe that teachers are merely the guide through education and designed to pose questions that cause students to think critically. My goal is for a student to have such a deep sense of wonder that they want to learn more than just the "how?" of math but also the "why?"
In my free time, I still enjoy playing in adult sand/indoor volleyball leagues and tournaments throughout the city. I also spend my time with my boyfriend and daughter at the Dallas Zoo and local parks around the Allen area, where we live.
