Spanish Interdisciplinary Studies

Mrs. Maria S. White

My name is Maria Soledad White, and I'm from Chile. I came to the U.S. 26 years ago with the goal of learning English, which I did in an ESL program. I graduated from Texas A & M Commerce with a major in Spanish and a minor in interdisciplinary studies. I also studied at a small college in Utah where I lived and learn how to snow ski for fun, which included skiing black diamonds.  I have been in education for 20 years, but teaching Spanish for the last 4. I grew up around music, which is a big part of my life, and I definitely like to integrate that into my lessons. Bringing my authentic self to work, makes me feel at home. Being happy and making my students feel happy, secure and supported, it's my number one job.  I'm currently working on my masters through Texas A&M to become and administrator.

Personally, I married my middle-school sweeheart 11 years ago, and we love to travel, try new foods, and watch movies. We have two children--fur babies--whom we spoil rotten.  We have a labradoodle and a cavachon.  I'm excited to become a part of Princeton ISD and ready to make a difference in my students' lives. My door is always open if any of my students may need extra help.
