Degrees and Certifications:
I have been teaching since 1998. I have taught 3rd and 4th grade in Richardson and in Wylie. I am excited to be teaching ELAR (English Language Arts and Reading) and Social Studies in Princeton now. My family and I have lived in Princeton since 2005. My husband (also known as Mr. Bacon), my son Ben, and my daughter Nora are all happy to be Princeton Panthers with me. Our dog, Lady, is thrilled that we are all close to home during the day.
Although I grew up in Richardson, Texas and graduated from Berkner High School, my Bachelors of Arts degree is from Drury College (now Drury University) in Springfield, Missouri. Drury was my first opportunity to be a panther! Then I returned to Texas to teach and I received my Masters in Education from University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.
I cannot wait to find each of my students strengths and talents so that we can apply them to communication. We will spend the year listening, speaking, reading, and writing together and then independently!
