Mrs. Kristen Blaede

3rd graders are the best, and I am super excited about getting started on our learning advenure!  This year will provide challenge, growth, and fun.  I believe in teaching kids responsibility and that hard work pays off.  I also believe that learning should be engaging and fun attributes should be included.

My goal is to have our class be a school family, and the classroom a safe "home" for all students.

I want all parents to feel comfortable talking with me about anything relating to their child.  Please see my background information, so you can get to know me from the start.

My husband, Matt, and I will be married for 28 years on September 11th.  We have two great boys.  Jake is 18 and is in college where he will play baseball.  Kayleb is 14 and will be starting his freshman year in highschool.  He is creative and loves soccer.  We are pretty proud of both of them, so you may hear some stories. :-)  I like to include my family stories in learning adventures to make things more interesting, and to let my students know that I am human just like them.  My family and I love to play board games, be outside in the sunshine, and play sport activities of all kinds.  Some of my personal hobbies include swimming, reading, and watching comedy movies.

My time with Princeton ISD has been a pleasure.  I began teaching for Princeton ISD in 2006 and taught 3rd grade until the end of the year in 2013.  At that time, I took a position as a preschool director in McKinney.  This time allowed me to earn my Master's Degree.  I remained the director for a while and helped get the school state certified.  After serving the preschool for 5 years, I returned to Princeton ISD where I again have been teaching 3rd grade.  I'm beginning my 11th year with Princeton ISD.
