FREE SCHOOL MEALS EXPIRED JUNE 2022
The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 has enabled public schools across the nation to provide all students free meals since the COVID-19 pandemic first disrupted K-12 education in March of 2020.The free school meal benefits expired after the last school day of the 2021-2022 school year.In the fall of 2022, meals will return to paid-for status. Families will need to pay full price for student meals or fill out an application to qualify for free or reduced-price meals.Free and reduced-price meal applications for the 2022-2023 school year can be completed anytime after July 1, 2022.Each campus has a paper application located in the office or apply online at:The U.S. Department of Agriculture prohibits discrimination against its customers, employees, and applicants for employment on the bases of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, gender identity, religion, reprisal, and where applicable, political beliefs, martial status, familial or parental status, sexual orientation, or all or part of an individual’s income is derived from any public assistance program or protected genetic information in employment or in any program or activity conducted or funded by the Department.
