Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to 6th Grade!!
I am so excited to be teaching Math and Language Arts Resource to your child this year. I hope that every day will be filled with lots of excitement, fun, and especially learning. I look forward to getting to know your child and you as the year progresses.
Here is a little information about me:
I am not a native Texan, which you will realize when you meet me. I am originally from New Jersey. My husband of 20 years, Brent, and I relocated to Texas 18 years ago. We lived in McKinney for 5 years before moving to Farmersville in 2005 with our sons.
I have two wonderful boys........Jonathan and Joshua. Jonathan is 17 and will be a Senior at Farmersville High School this year as well as the Drum Major for the band. Very excited and sad to see what this school year has in store for him and his future. Joshua is 15 and will also be attending Farmersville High School as a Sophomore. They both are involved in multiple activities like band, basketball, cross country, track, UIL, and FCCLA. I am their #1 fan and you can usually find me at a game or at a practice during my time off from work.
Besides my kids, I have a few animals. I have 2 dogs, Bandit, who is a collie/lab mix, and Morgan, who is a dobe. I have 2 inside cats, Kasper and Prancer. I also have 1 outside cat named Boo. He is 12 years old. They may be animals, but they are part of our family and treated like they own the house.
I was in retail for 26 years before I decided to follow my passion and become a teacher. With my husband's support and love, I quit my job and went back to school. I finished my BA in 2011 and my Masters in Special Education in 2013. I did my student teaching at Farmersville Junior High in 2012 and became a certified teacher at the end of 2012. I have been with Princeton ISD since 2014 and have enjoyed every minute of it.
I look forward to teaching and watching your child grow throughout this school year.
