• Meet Mrs. Tuter

I want to extend to you and your child my warmest welcome into my classroom.  I am so excited to be your child’s teacher.  I believe many exciting things are going to happen in the classroom this year.

    A Little about Me

I grew up in a very small town in Texas called Hamilton, which only has about 3,000 people.  I was involved in many activities growing up: basketball, track, volleyball, National Honor Society, Class Counsels, band, cheerleading, Future Farmers of America (FFA), and 4-H.  Since it was such a small town, I was able to be a part of many organizations, and I loved it!  During high school, I also my mother decided to be a foster parent, so I was able to participate and help with that; by far one of the most amazing experiences of my life.  Some of my hobbies include being with family and friends, educating children, photography, sports, traveling, watching movies, eating, and of course, shopping.  I attended Texas A&M University.  I have known from day 1 that I have wanted to be a teacher, because my mom has always been a teacher.  I feel that Texas A&M has done an excellent job in preparing me to teach your children.  I was assigned 3rd grade math/science/social studies for my student teaching semester.  I LOVED it and cannot be more excited about having the opportunity to teach your child.  Upon graduating, I moved to McKinney.  Moving to McKinney has been a wonderful decision for me, and I am glad that this is the path that I chose.  I am really excited about teaching here in Princeton at Lowe Elementary.

My philosophy for learning, as a teacher, is to teach to each individual child, as each child learns in their own unique way.  I want to provide a positive, safe, fun, and loving environment for each child.  I will work alongside your child to help them achieve their full potential and be as successful as possible.  Hands on learning and critical thinking are vital to your child’s learning, and will take place frequently.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to email me at atuter@princetonisd.net or call me at 469-952-5400.  You may also visit with me during my conference time.  If possible, please schedule that meeting, as I will be very busy throughout the day working with your child.

Again, I am incredibly excited about being your child’s teacher, and I know this school year will be wonderful.  Thank you so much, and welcome to 4th grade!!
