I grew up in Plano and graduated from Plano Senior High School. While attending Plano Senior High, I participated in their Child Development Major Studies program both my junior and senior year. The program was designed for those students interested in the "teaching field". I knew then exactly what I was going to be "when I grew up" . . . a Kindergarten teacher. After finishing high school, I attended the University of North Texas and graduated in December 1990. I took some time off, did a little substitute teaching and applied to several different districts. I was offered and accepted a Kindergarten teaching position in Princeton in August of 1992. This year will begin my 28th year of teaching, all of which have been here in Princeton and all of which have been in Kindergarten. I cannot imagine teaching anywhere or anything else!! Five year old's are truly amazing people!!
