Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Vallery Hamilton

My name is Mrs. Vallery Hamilton and I am super excited about teaching 2nd grade this year!

I began my teaching career in August of 2000, in the Princeton Independent School District.  Surrounded by dedicated, knowledgeable educators and an involved, supportive community, Princeton schools became my "forever home".  I feel blessed to have taught here in Princeton ever since!  Over the years, I have taught 4th, 3rd, and 2nd graders.

My educational training includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A & M Commerce, with a minor in French, and certifications in English as a Second Language and Early Childhood Education.

I consider experience and training valuable assets to the extent that they are grounded in matters of the heart.  I strive to bring best practices into a classroom environment that is predictable, secure, and inspiring, since children learn best when they know they are safe and valued.   I believe that the parents and guardians of my students are their most influencial teachers and I see myself as a helper in the education of my students.  I believe we form a partnership that works toward each child reaching his or her fullest potential.

When I'm away from school I enjoy spending time with my husband, two adult daughters, a son-in-law, many friends, relatives and one very special grandchild!  I love nature and the great outdoors!  I enjoy gardening, quilting, sewing, history, and music!

I look forward to meeting with each of you as we share 2nd grade!
