  • UIL realignment

    UIL has released its realignment for the 2020-22 seasons. Princeton will be in District 10-5A and will face opponents Denison, Lovejoy, McKinney North, Prosper Rock Hill, Sherman, The Colony and Wylie East. For football, the Panthers are in District 7-5A and will face opponents Denison, Frisco, Frisco Lebanon Trail, Frisco Liberty, Frisco Memorial, Lake Dallas, Lovejoy and Prosper Rock Hill.

  • School board meetings change

    With a few future board meetings having calendar conflicts, the board voted to reschedule upcoming trustee meetings.

    The January board meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 22. The February board meeting will be Wednesday, Feb. 26. These new dates will allow for the majority of the board to be in attendance.

    All meetings are open to the public.

  • Early release

    PISD will release early Friday, Feb. 28, for a UIL contest. Schools will observe the following release schedule: PHS releases at 12:05 p.m., buses run at 12:30 after lunch; Clark and Southard release at 12:35 p.m.; and all elementary schools release at 1:30 p.m.

  • Bingo night

    The Princeton Noino Study Club will host a Bingo Night fundraiser for PHS scholarships so save the date of March 21. More information will be posted as the event gets closer.

  • Transfer requests

    Staff at the Administration Building, 321 Panther Pkwy., will accept applications March 16-April 3 for students seeking to transfer to a school they currently attend that is outside their attendance zone. Transfer request forms are available on the website under the Growth, Transfers, Zoning link above.

  • Baccalaureate

    The Princeton Ministerial Alliance is sponsoring Baccalaureate at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Faith Baptist Church, 1306 N. 6th St. This service, organized by local pastors and students, honors graduating seniors and their parents. There will be speakers and worship music. In addition, the venue will offer professional photos for graduates and their families.

    Princeton Independent School District ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 5.33 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $-101.60.
