Welcome students of Princeton High School! I am Mary Ellen
Alagna and I am YOUR Librarian! My role is to help you achieve your
education goals by providing the information, materials, and resources
needed to complete your assignments.
I am successful when YOU are
successful!
<>I graduated from the University of Kansas with a BS in Secondary
Education, Language Arts and Psychology. I then taught English
for four years
at Palmer Junior High School in Independence, Missouri. Next, I
stayed home to raise my three children and operating a small newsletter
business for communities. This involved selling advertisemnets and writing
articles. After 18 years at home, I returned to teaching!
When I started teaching freshmen English at Princeton High School, my
own three children were in 9th, 10th and 12 grades. It was a busy busy
time!
My hobbies include hiking, biking, snow
shoeing, swimming, anything outside because I love nature!
My grandchild Caden, a toddler, lives in Denver with my
daughter and son-in-law and we visit the mountains several times a year!
And, of course, I love reading! I
am now in my 18th year at Princeton High School and my 11th year as a
librarian! I love working with our students and sharing my
passion for reading and technology!
