Wide
Policies:
· Students are not permitted to leave the classroom,
unless
it is an emergency.
· There is to be no food, drink, or gum in the
classroom.
· Students must be in their seats when the bell rings.
Additional
Classroom Rules:
· Respect each other.
· Keep work area clean.
Late Work
Policy:
A student will be allowed one late paper per six
weeks per class
with no penalty if turned in the following day at the first of the
day.
Papers that are late after that point will have point discounted as
follows:
One day late -10 points, two days late -20 points, three days late -30,
after five days, the paper will receive a zero.
No Zero Policy: Students must complete
assigned work.
If a student does not turn in work on the day that it is
assigned.
Consequences - Assign tutoring in the morning or afternoon for the
student.
The grade for the paper if it is the first last paper for the six weeks
is the grade the student would received if it were turned in on
time. The grade for the paper if it is the second or more late
paper for the six weeks will follow the late work policy of minus 10
points per day. After 5 days, the paper will receive a zero.
Retest
Policy:
Students will be allowed to retest one test one time per class per
six weeks. The re-test grade cannot be higher than a
70.
Tardy
Policy:
Students are tardy if they are not in their seat when the tardy bell
rings.
1st tardy - verbal warning
2nd tardy - detention with teacher for a minimum of
15 minutes
3rd tardy - detention with teacher for a minimum of
30 minutes
4th and subsequent tardies - Monday and/or Friday
detentions from 3:30 - 6:30, ISS, Suspension,
then Truancy.
Note: Seven accumulated tardies for all classes will
cause a student to loose semester exemptions.
Step 1. The student is made aware of the
problem in
conference and a detention may be assiged.
Step 2. If the student continues to misbehave, the parent
is called and another detention/report is
assigned.
Step 3. If the student continues to misbehave, the student
is sent to the principal.
If a student fails to serve a detention or turn in an
assigned
report,
another detention or report is
assigned and the parent
is to be called. All detentions will include a report.

Policy:
All students are required to have a job working a minimum
of 15 hours per week.
