Wednesday    Sponge:  What kinds of cases do Federal courts have jusridiction over?  p. 28
Chapter 2, The Court System; read The Opening Scene and discuss.  Section 2.1 Discuss the Dual Court System
 
Thursday    Sponge:  What is the role of the United States Supreme Court?
Review Section 2.1 The Dual Court System and  Alternation Dispute Resolution
 
Friday    Sponge:  What is the difference a deliquent and an unruly child?
Using the Dallas Morning News, have students find an article on a legal issue, summarize it, and report to the class.  Discuss Pleading, pp. 36-42; allow time to continue flash cards.
Turn in weekly sponges and two newspaper articles.
