Thursday    Sponge:  Explain the You-Centered approach. P. 44 Direct Messages, Sect. 2, pp. 44-47;  do Reading Chechup, Listening and Speaking Practice, and Writing Ex. A together.  Assign Ex. B, p. 49 rewrite the letter condensing the paragraphs.  
Friday    Sponge: In a message, why should weak words be avoided? P. 45 Turn in weekly sponges.  Complete Ex. B. p. 49

Thursday    Sponge: Evaluate the "Art of Conversation" Day.  Then pass out Thank-you handout and the list of attendees.  Go over the format of the Thank-you note.  Have students choose the person they want to write a thank-you note to.  
Friday    Sponge: Have students write an evaluation of the unit Teenagers in the real World. Turn in weekly sponges.
