Teacher Bio
I graduated from a California State
University with a double major in Political Science and Sociology and a
minor in History. I need two classes to complete my Masters of
Education. I have been teaching for 6 years and prior to that I
was in the business world with Boeing as a product manager and then had
my own insurance agency for 11 years. About 8 years ago I found
myself in a position to be able to do something I had always wanted to
do...that was teach. I completed the needed educational
requirements and became a certified teacher in Utah. While in
Utah I was one of 24 Teacherr of the year in 2005 school year. I
returned
to Texas last year to be closer to family. Ever since my first
contact with Princeton ISD I knew this is where I wanted to teach and
coach.
My athletic experience has included playing Division I college
basketball, coaching numerous all-star teams, coaching several high
school state championship teams in Utah, Playing and coaching in
Europe, and coached the Dallas Diamonds in the first women's
professional basketball league (WBL). I have a son playing
professional basketball in Europe and a daughter that was a college
All-American at the University of Colorado in Boulder, a WNBA player,
and is currently a Division I basketball head coach at Utah State
University. I coached in Utah for 13 years ( Mountain View High
School and Timpview High School) and was blessed with teams that won 8
State Championships and four Final Four appearances. Basketball
has been and still is a big part of the Scott's family life.
