All About Me!!

I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and I am the only true Texan in my family. I went to the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and obtained my BS in Fashion Merchandise. I did the "retail thing" for several years as well as outside sales for various staffing services. After the birth of my third child, I was a stay at home Mom until my youngest started pre-school. I started my teaching career at Wesley Christian Preschool as an Assistant Teacher for the 4-year-old Pre-K class. While I worked there I attended classes at Region 10 to obtain my alternative certification. I started my teaching career at Lacy Elementary as a Pre-K teacher in 2005. In fact I was hired the day of "Meet the Teacher" night. I absolutely love working with the pre-schoolers and watching as they grow and learn throughout the year!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Rick, and I have been married since 1995 and have three children: Jerrod, BriAna and Jacob. Our kids are very involved in sports and I spend much of my spare time racing to and from practices and games. If it involves a ball: soccer, baseball, basketball or volleyball, we play it!!  With any remaining spare time I have (and there isn't much) I enjoy reading, home improvement projects (I am dangerous with a paintbrush and sewing machine!), cooking and watching HGTV.
