All about Mrs. Blaede

DSC00043Welcome!  I am so excited to be teaching third grade again this year.

I graduated in 2000 from Miami University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  I am highly qualified to teach early childhood through 4th grade.  Previously, I taught Accelerated Math for Princeton ISD.  I have also had the pleasure of being the Lead Teacher/Coordinator of the Preschool program for the Russell Creek YMCA childcare division.

I love working with children and want to see every student succeed.  My goals for this class are many. First, the students will use structured hands on manipulative tools, activities, and games to increase their understanding of concepts taught in the classroom.  Second, their cognitive thinking ability will grow as they analyze and think through problems using high level thinking strategies.  Third,  students will gain confidence in their academic abilities ultimately reaching a love for school.   Fourth, students will gain every day social life skills by working together as a team.  Lastly,  I even enjoy dressing up to enhance the learning experience for my students. Here I am as Mary Poppins.  My students will also have the chance to see my “twin sister” Dr. Mindstein, the game show host, and the senior scientist.

I live in McKinney with my family.  I have been married for 14 years to my wonderful and supportive husband Matt.  We have a great little boy named Jacob (Jake) who is 5 years old.

I love to scrapbook in my free time.  I also enjoy reading, swimming, playing games, just being with my family and friends, and being out in the sunshine.

I am here for my students and believe in open communication.  If you need to contact me you may do so at Kristen Blaede (kblaede@princetonisd.net)
