Rene' Mullins, Principal
Lacy
Elementary
Greetings,
I was raised in Mabank, Texas and lived there many years of my
life. I feel like I know and understand the struggles of a hometown with
growing pains. I am proud to call myself a Princeton Panther, for I was raised
a Mabank Panther. So.......GO PANTHERS! I am happily married and
have five children, so there are many children issues I have lived through
myself. I successfully attended Trinity
Valley Community
College in Athens,
The University of Texas in Tyler, and Texas A&M at
Commerce. I consider learning a joy and hope your children will see this
reflected in my relationship with them as they begin their life-long learning
career. Yeats stated as I paraphrase,”It is not the filling of the
pail that makes learning successful, but the lighting of the fire for learning
that makes the difference." The desire for learning begins with you
and our elementary school, and I can guarantee you that we will do our very
best to light the fire of learning for your child.
We are here to help your child be the best they can be. We will be there
as they learn from mistakes, learn to stretch their imagination and learn to be
the person that can say...."Hey, I am PROUD of myself.” Our
doors are open to you, for you play a vital role in the success of your
child. We are also Panther Proud to call our campus a TEA Exemplary
Campus. One of our goals is to call ourselves a TEA Exemplary Campus again
next year. We have a dedicated, professional staff that will help your
child become their best. Together, we all can make great things happen
for your child. Please feel free to contact us any time.
In closing, we have a motto we say each day with your child which is......
I WANT EVERYBODY OUT THERE TO HAVE A WONDERFUL LACY ELEMENTARY DAY!
