My name is Mrs. Kathryn Rice. I have a Bachelor's Degree in All-Level Music Education with concentrations in voice and piano. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I have been teaching for 26 years. During my 26 years of teaching I have taught K-6 grade music, 7-12 grade choir, 6-8 grade reading, 6th grade art, high school debate, and third grade language arts.
I am in my tenth year of teaching at Lacy Elementary School. I presently teach PreK-5th grade music.
I have three children. My oldest daughter, Kristen, is attending college to be an elementary teacher. Kaitlin is also attending college and plans on being a journalism teacher. My youngest son, Zach, is a junior at Princeton High School. He is very active in football/band and plans on being a sports physician. My husband is John and he is a great guy!
My hobbies include reading, watching movies, sewing, scrapbooking and traveling. I have traveled all over the U.S. including Hawaii and Alaska. I have also been to Canada, Mexico, several countries in the Caribbean, Europe, and Brazil.
