Let me introduce myself. I am Donna Swisher and I have been the
librarian/media specialist at Lacy for seven years.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in
Library Science and Information Management. I taught middle
school science and language arts for ten years in Kansas before my
husband and
I moved to Texas.
My
family consists of three grown children, Craig, Stacey and Lora.
I have seven wonderful grandchildren I enjoy spoiling and sending
back home. One of our favorite things to do with them is - read
books (of course!) I also admit I like to color and do crafts
with them. Painting, sewing and reading are some of my
hobbies. My
husband, Ron, and I also like to travel.
The library is a very busy place at Lacy. I enjoy working with all the students at Lacy and encouraging them to read. I also am the media mentor for our school and assist teachers in integrating technology in their classrooms. If you come to Lacy be sure and stop by the library and say HELLO.
