Mrs. Brown's 6th Grade Science Class

Class Policies

  • Students are to be on time to class and prepared to work before the tardy bell.
  • Students must get permission to talk or leave their seats.
  • Students are to keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves.
  • Students are to respect the rights, feelings, and properties of others.
  • Students are to follow directions the first time they are given.
  • No cheating is allowed.
If the student chooses not to follow these rules, there will be consequences:
  • A verbal warning by the teacher.
  • A Student-Teacher conference
  • Phone call made to the parent(s)
  • After-school detention
  • Parent/Administrator/Teacher conference

Homework is to be turned in on time.

If an assignment is turned in 1 day late, the most a student can make is a 70. If the work is 2 days late, the highest grade is a 50. Assignments turned in 3 or more days late will receive a grade of 0. Each student is responsible for finding out what assignments they need to do when they have been absent. A student has one extra day plus the sum of days missed to make up work. For example, if a child was absent three days, he/she will get four days to turn in all the work. (number of days+1)
