Classroom Policies

Classroom Rules

1. Students are to be on time to class and prepared to work before the tardy bell.
2. Students must get permission to talk or leave their seats.
3. Students are to keep hands, feet, and objects to themselves.
4. Students are to respect the rights, feelings, and properties of others. 
5. Students are to follow directions the first time they are given.
6. No cheating is allowed. 

If the student chooses not to follow these rules, there will be consequences:
1. A verbal reminder of expectations
2. A student-teacher conference
3. Phone call made to the parent(s)
4. After-school detention (30 min.) and written discipline essay
5. Office referral
6. Office detention (45 min-1hr)
7. In School Suspension (ISS)

*Severe infractions or disruptions will result in an immediate office referral.


 
 Homework Policies
 

Homework is to be turned in on time.  If an assignment is turned in 1 day late, the most a student can make is a 70.  If the work is 2 days late, the highest grade is a 50.  Assignments turned in 3 days late, or later, receive a grade of 0.

 
 
 

Make-Up Work

                                                  *Each student is responsible for finding out what assignments they
                                                   need to make up when they have been absent. A student has one
                                                   extra day for the sum of all the days missed to make up work. For
                                                  example, if your child was absent three days, he will get four to
                                                                       turn in all the work. (number of days+1)

 




Excessive Tardies Policy
 

1st tardy = Warning
2nd tardy = Assign a 30 min. detention
3rd tardy = Assign a 30 min. detention
4th tardy = Office referral

*Numerous absences and/or tardies can lead to truancy
