The Godwin Elementary Library is a buzz with activity.  Students in kindergarten through second grade enjoy regularly scheduled library times where the listen to a story and have the opportunity to check out books. 

     In addition, students are allowed to visit the library for open checkout at various times throughout the school day.

     Be sure to ask your student what they did in the library this week!

We are pleased to announce that the Texas legislature approved funding this year for public students to have access to databases for free.  This is a terrific resource for students and their families, and we hope everyone takes advantage of this service.  The educational databases are a great way to look for information that has been published in magazines and journals.  They have been designed for a variety of ages to be able to use, and have a special searching area called "Searchasaurus" just for younger students.  If you have any questions about the databases, please call or me at:
