Writing
objectives:
- Generate ideas
for writing
- Revise drafts and
revise selected drafts for varied purposes
- Edit for
appropriate grammar, spelling, punctuation, and features of of polished
writings
- Use available
technology for aspects of writing
- Demonstrate
understanding of language use and spelling by bringing selected pieces
frequently to final form and "publishing" them for audiences
- Write with
more proficient spelling of inflectional endings
- Edit
writing toward standard grammar and usage

Math
objectives:
- select addition or subtraction and
solve problems using two-digit numbers, whether or not regrouping is
necessary

Science objectives:
- Explain how water gets into the air and describe
the water cycle
- Classify and
sequence organisms, objects, and events based on properties and patterns
- Observe, measure,
and record changes in weather, the night sky and seasons

Social
Studies objectives:
- Identify
functions of government
- Describe how
governments establish order, provide security, and manage conflict
- Compare the roles
of public officials
- Identify
ways public officials are selected
