Class Policies

Students should make wise choices

Show respect for others

Keep hands and feet where they belong

Listen while others are speaking

Participate in discussions and activities

Accept responsibility for their success

Bring their own supplies to class

Follow directions

Complete assignments in blue or black ink

Properly head papers with their name, date, and class period

Copy assignments daily into their assignment log

Complete work on time and to the best of their ability

Handle materials carefully

Return the room to the condition in which they found it

Due dates

All assignments are written on the board daily including due dates. Students are required to copy these down in their homework folder daily. Assessments and timed writings are due by the end of the period. However, most assignments are due the following day at the beginning of the period.  Long term assignments stay posted on the board from the day assigned. Check the assignment log in the homework folder and manage your time wisely.

Make-up work

If a student is absent they must submit make-up work within two days of each absence in order to receive full credit for their work.  It is the student's  responsibility to  copy assignments from the  posted agenda  upon their return from an absence and  make  sure  they  get  copies of any  handouts.

Homework

Anything that is not finished during class should be considered homework. Outside reading and journaling is required.
Mrs. Moody's Policy on Late work

·         If a paper is one day late 10 points will be taken off the score

·         If two days late a maximum grade of 70% is possible

·         If three days late a maximum grade of 50% is possible

·         If over three days late the grade will remain a zero

Alternative assignments may be completed at tutoring or Saturday School for partial credit.  If the work is not completed at these opportunities, it will remain a zero in the grade book.
